SIGNAL IN MOTION
Signal in Motion is a live audiovisual performance exploring the relationship between sound, light, and electronic signals through real-time visualization. Using an oscilloscope technique connected to a laser system, audio signals are translated into dynamic patterns of light, making sound visible as it unfolds in time.
The performance investigates how sound can move beyond the auditory domain and take on a visual and spatial form. Through the interaction between electronic sound and laser-generated imagery, waveforms become shifting lines, shapes, and movements that respond directly to the audio. Rather than relying on pre-rendered visuals, the imagery emerges in real time, creating a continuous dialogue between sound and light.
The work brings together analog visual principles and digital audiovisual practice, revealing the underlying structures and movements of sound through light. Each moment becomes part of a changing visual composition, where frequency, rhythm, and amplitude shape the evolving image. The result is an immersive audiovisual experience in which sound is not only heard, but also seen as a physical presence in space.
