DAMASCUS STEEL

Is an immersive interactive installation that invites viewers to engage with dynamic visuals and soundscapes. Utilizing a Kinect sensor to track body movements, participants can alter the appearance and auditory ambiance of the projection by simply moving around the space. This interactive element establishes a direct connection between the viewer and the artwork, transforming passive observation into active participation.

Inspired by the intricate patterns and layered textures of Damascus steel, the visual design evokes the fluidity and richness of this ancient metalworking technique. Through the fusion of technology and artistic expression, "Damasukus Steel" offers a multisensory experience that celebrates the beauty of craftsmanship while exploring the intersection of tradition and innovation. This artwork was done in collab with Botond Kelemen (HU).
